Credit Controller
Ridings Equine Vets has an exciting opportunity for an experienced credit controller to join our small friendly team based in Darrington, West Yorkshire. The Credit Controller is responsible for managing the accounts receivable and minimising bad debts to ensure the practice operates efficiently and maximising cash flow. 
You will be responsible for:
Generating and sending customer invoices
Proactively chasing debts to ensure payment
Collection of overdue debts by telephone, email and letter
Managing the customer insurance claims process and keeping good records
Processing of BACS payments
Production of monthly financial management accounts
Preparation and submission of the quarterly VAT return
Handle and resolve customer queries and disputes over invoices
Oversea and manage customer loans provided through our finance company
Oversea and manage customer payments towards monthly health plans
Liaising with debt collection services
Issuing court proceedings
Paying supplier invoices
Managing the correct reconciliation of cheques, cash and card payments
Managing the company cash register
Keeping good records
The successful candidate must have:

Previous experience in a similar role
Be highly organised and able to prioritise
Excellent communication skills including difficult conversations
Experience of working under pressure and to deadlines
Pride yourself in accuracy and have a high level of attention to detail
IT literate
Be a great team player
Possess sound decision making skills and ability to work under own initiative
Have a professional, polite, assertive telephone manner
Be willing to develop new skills
The position is a full time permanent position of 40 hours per week. Monday to Friday 9.5pm.
20 Days holiday plus bank holidays and enrolment in the employee pension scheme.
Salary £20,000- £24,000 depending on experience.
